Default Intake

This may sound like a stupid question...but I am considering down the road adding the JLT2 intake with the Brenspeed 93 tune (maybe UDP as well), but Im not sure how the whole reprograming/computer thing works. Lets say I want to tune it back down to 87 or put all the stock stuff back on...how easy/hard is it and is it bad for your car? I'm just a puss when it comes to computer/electronic mods. Any input would be helpful.

It's easy, and it's not bad for the engine as long as youremember to reinstall the stock air intake whenever you reload the stock tune. Otherwise, you maydamage the engine.
When you load a custom tune, the tuner unit saves a back up of the stock tune. To reload it, justfollow the tuner unit's instructions for restoring the stock tune.

Also, you can run a tune for you mods on 87, or any other octane, just specify when ordering from your tuner what you want.

Once your new CAI is in, it takes about 10-15 minutes to pull it out (in 1 piece) and install the original intake. The tuning may take 2-3 minutes to reload a tune once you know what you're doing.

How much power is gained with the 87 octane tune? I know people who tune it to 93 can see gains up to 30 HP. I would like the 93 tune but for practicality purposes the 87is more my speed...but I still want more HP.

The difference between the 87 custom and 93 custom tunes is not as big as the difference between the stock 87 and the custom 87. So you'll be happy with the gain.

I ran the Brenspeed 93 octane tune when I first got CAI and Tuner. Then later I switched to the 87 Tune for winter (drive less)and price of gas. The difference is minimal, you can feel it but not significant IMO. Like others said - the diff between Stock 87 and Brenspeed 87 is big. The diff between Brenspeed 93 and Brenspeed 87 is small.

Plug tuner in, push a couple buttons, wait, and boom you're on a different tune.

It is very easy to flash back to the stock or another tune. I'd venture to say that in the time it takes the tuner to flash the car, you could swap the intake out for the stock one as well.
