Not sure because I haven't done it yet but I believe the KB gets louder when you start pushing more boost. I think its the same for any SC, they get louder the more boost you run.

I live right next to kenne bell and the only reason I didnt not get it is because it is super quiet. As for the thread earlier how kB research is the best, I would no put Ford Racing research below that. The Ford Racing name is much more prestigous than KB.

1) The KB has the filter in the front bumper - not the wheelwell (true cold air intake)

The KB will be able to run bigger boost easier because of it's size. To get over 20psi on the whipple you're going to have to change the crank pulley I believe, probably not on the KB.

according to Dustin, there will be a 2.9L out within 6-9 months. He said it will be more along the lines of a tuner kit. the current 140 still isnt at its max level. it will be nice to see numbers from the 2.9L whipplecompared tothe 2.6L from KB.

When I got my KB in Mar 2006, Whipple didn't have a kit for the S197. I also used the stock plugs for a long time without any issues, just had to gap them down.
Had the KB on now for almost two years and I have no regrets about my choice. 38,000 miles on the car now @10psi.
