DMHperformance.com is the ONLY electronic cut-out i recommend. any other cutout i've tried (QTP, Qtec, and summitracing brands) all leaked. DMH has a 4-5year warranty on their cutouts and are pretty cheap.

If there is ever a problem, u get a new one.

 

I'm proud to say he's a good friend of mine. Like I said, he's had them on his car for over a year and uses them almost always at the track and a lot around town and has never had an issue either leaking or otherwise.

 

friend has em on his trans am, and they are pretty damn rediculous, would be louder than catless exhaust setupsevenif you had the switch to close them?

 

it's BLARRINGLY loud..all this talk about them makes me want to open mine up on the skittle,just
to freak people out on start up,sounds like starting up a friggin' dragster lol...

on long drives it become down right irritating and obnoxious though..

cut outs rock..don't know how loud the spool/whine of an SC when cruising but with my stage 2 srt,you can hear the spool from far away lol..sounds like a big rig spooling a big *** diesel turbo lol.

the GT must sounds INSANE with the cut outs.

 

This topic has made me put some serious though into getting some cutouts. What I would like an idea of though is approximately how much power do they free up when open?

 

on my stock turbo stage 2 srt-4 it feels like it frees up about 10-15 INSTANT whp,it's noticable
on the upper RPM as well as a quicker spool.

 

power is best attained with cutout via dyno tuning. (ie. SCT X2, diablo, etc.)

perfect opportunity to get your intake, and any other mods fine tuned as well.
