I heared cut outs and I cant say that I am too much a fan of it IMO. I dont think It is that loud either. I have heared alot of set ups that are alot louder then the cut outs. Im sure like soemone else stated that it frees up HP if dyno tuned.

I cant seen that neon sunding good in any way[:'(] , when you describe that popping and gargling and other stuff I made a face, just like I do whenI hear a ricer exhuast.

Default check engine light

hey i know this thread hasn't been active for a little while now but i was just reading it today and i called the dmh performance company and he was saying that if you install it before the cats it will throw a check engine light because the exhaust would be dumping before the oxygen sensors. so he said he wouldnt reccomend that. have any of you that have the cutouts encountered that? or even if you dont have it but know the answer. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Considering some people have LTs with muffler deletes like Boomtubes, etc. I really see no use for cut-outs with this type of application under this type of scenario.

.......Does anyone on this forum actually have cutouts and confirmed dyno numbers on a s197 GT?

I mean, we can all agree that they make an ungodly noise and can leak, but what about loss of back pressure, difference in placement, completely stock with cutouts vs. CAI/tuned cars, etc.?

ask me again at the end of the month, I am getting them installed once i get my summer tires back on. I have had positive past experience with cut outs.

From what I have witnessed myself, they loose a little low end torque but once the RPMs climb and especially at WOT they free up alot of excess WHP and it's not just sound lol.

10-15 whp?? not sure.. but it sure does feel that way.
