I've noticed in the ads from places selling the OBX lt's that they show 2 H-pipes. What's the deal?

I had less than 1/8 clearance and it cured my problem. It prevents the motor from shifting from side to side under load.

Put new mounts in and your done.

if you went slightly higher quality than OBX... then none of you would be having these problems.

Sorry to say, but the OBX's aren't the only ones that have clearance issues with the steering shaft.
The 2 H-pipes that come with the OBX include 1 with resonators, not cats & 1 straight thru H. No cats are included.

I wouldn't imagine you'ld loose any power, it's a straight-thru piece. Can't comment on the 'raspiness' as I've only had the H w/resonators on mine so far. Only time I really notice it on mine is when I shift above 3K,get a little between shifts.
I'll probably try the straight H later when it gets warmer & I can cruise with the windows down again.

which motor mounts did you guys use? also, I saw that someone mentioned that they raised the engine. Does that happen in all cases? I have an FAP blower, and would most likely run into issues if I raised the motor...

thanks
