WTF??

RE: WTF??
I had three BMW's, an '85 535, '88 735. and a '90 750iL.........Let me tell you those Cars are made to Drive Fast, not so much off the line, but on the highway forget about it. At speed the Car Lowers itself for better wind resistance....Just an amazing Car.
As far as you 5 Speed GT "giving up" at 110, I don't know what to say, I go faster than that in fourth gear.

RE: WTF??
Only you and your dealer/mechanic will be able to answer why your car was so "slow" (a relative term).
But regards the Audi: I'm no expert but the basics are pretty easy to understand. Top speed is mainly governed by: HP, Drag Coefficentand Gearing.
By manipulating thesethings a manufacturer could easily make a lower powered, heavy car "faster" than a high powered, lighter car. Clearly if the high power car had really low gearing or was totaly un-aerodynamic it would have a slower top speed.
Try racing an A6 0-60 (a much more important measurement) and I bet you beat him.

or the fact that he was already at full speed and just kept going, while you have to start the climb...and while your climbing, hes just pulling...

Also, I am n00b here but driving for last 9 yrs, and I drive pretty fast and I do change gears ...quite agrressive in that. I don't do hill&toe, but i know how to drive...not a n00b thete ...but believe me guys, I tried my best..
All right guys the update:
First, I just came back from the dealership (as i have to go anyway for engine oil change),
so asked them to check it thoroughly, after 5 hrs of complete check...the answer from
my service advisor was "Nothing is wrong".
Now something is wrong, as he told me in a quiet low voice tha every Mustang GT, especially,
the 4.6 motor has different top speeds, irrespective of the software speed limiter. Now, if this
is true, and it is completes BS to sell a car which is different than another... I mean, it is
not a hand made Ferrari Enzo, but a mass produced car, with his explanation, it sounded
like more like a handmade wodden toy-bus that will never be the same as another one.
Second, I checked in wikipedia, the 2.7 A6 are Bi-turbos, so could that be a reason??
Also, has anyone experienced Audis?? I mean I always found them good looking, especially,
the logo, but never thought they were fast.
I am upset, as I was so happy with my V6 before, that I bought a new one for my 27th B'day
last nov, and it was beaten by a small motor V6. If it was corvette, I would have been fine,
not some stupid **** car. I think German engineering sucks, but that's IMO.
Now the worst part, I checked his car just glanced inside...and it was Automatic...a diff transmission something like tiptonic or something which he told, but he said it was automatic..
