Anybody know what kind of boost level is possible out of the saleen s/c?

15 psi is where is starts to not make more power...with supporting mods, that can be anyway from 540rwhp-650rwhp. You would need heads, cams, and stroker for the 650rwhp. The Saleen S302 Extreme puts down 590rwhp at 14psi I believe.

The intake design, while increasing air flow for lower boost levels, becomes restrictive at high boost. At least thats what I have come to understand.

I dont think too many people want to boost over 15psi for the street anyways. Im sure not plaining to.

The highest documented Saleen blower is the blue customer car of JDM at 16 psi. That is the limit and honestly doesn't make much more than 15 psi and is more of 'this is what it 'can' do' thing.

IMO 15 psi is about it although that ain't too shabby..lol

Dave and Brent said the one they had that they blew up (stock bottom end - were trying to see how far they could push it, blew it up on purpose) they went from 14 psi to 17 psi and it made 40 horse more. They both suspect that it may still continue to have marginal power gains up to 20, but definitely not beyond that (in their opinions).

Me, personally, everything I'veever seen or heard says that they don't produce a whole lot more power once you get past 15psi.

So if you are planning on going over 15-16psi, the Saleen blower is not for you. Fact is, MOST people stay under that.

Trust me, with big power come BIG headaches...

I always laugh at what the vendors and mags DON'T tell you...

For example the JDM customer car that runs 9's - you always here about the stock trans or this and that blower mod but you NEVER hear about the 330ci rebuild the motor has...[8D]
