Stalling when cold and problems fueling up
Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted last. Two problems.
1. After the car's been sitting outside here at work (20 degrees out or so), sometimes it has problems staying running after it's started. Like it's not choking or something. I know these cars don't really "choke" anymore, it's all sophisticated with the computer, etc.
2. This has happened for a few months, off and on. I have problems filling the fuel tank. The pump just wants to shut off. It doesn't matter if the tank is near empt, half full, whatever, so I don't think it's a pressure thing.
Any ideas?

I don't know about the stalling, but the gas fill up is a known problem. Ford will fix it under warranty, but whenever it happens to me I just hold the "trigger" to the gas pump with less pressure and it works. It happens when the gas pump is too fast, so if you regulate it at a moderate speed, it works.
I believe the dealer will replace the filler neck to fix the filling issue.
As to the stalling, have you tried disconnecting your negative terminal to "reboot" the ECM? Might be worth a shot.
