Default Question about cam phasers

I have cam phasers on my gt that were made in december 2004. I know there was a tsb about them for any cars made before march of 2005 they were faulty or something onlong those lines. Im pushing pretty big numbers so now it has me alittle worried. What do cam phasers really do? Should i replace these or what.. I know there are cam phaser lockouts sold buy a couple companies. If anyone has any info or anything would love some insight.

Thecam phaser changes the timing of the valve lift event - it isused to shift the intake cam andthe exhaust camon our dual overhead cam engines (i.e., variable valve timing). This helps increase engine efficiency, improving idle stability while delivering more torque and horsepower. It also helps boost fuel economy and reduces hydrocarbon emissions.

Not to burst your bubble, but the 3v heads are single overhead cam.

The GT500 has the 4v DOHC heads.
