Default Exhaust question

I know about the exhaust thread, butlooking for opinions on this. I have stock exhaust with Mac axlebacks. Love the sound. What midpipes would be best for sound and function with the Mac's? After my gears that'll be my next mod. Thanks!!

i think o/r x pipe would be good. have heard of others w/ Mac and had o/r h and had drone, and w/ o/r x pipe was better. personally i like the x pipe sound, so i think this is the way to go.

I think the Bassani o/r x pipe sounds REALLY good with the MAC's. I heard the combination with at a mustang cruise on the east coast near the Baltimore area. It sounded really throaty and deep. JMO.

Call brenspeed; they have great customer service and have tried like every exhaust combo known to man. They will tell you whether to go with an h or x and cats or no cats. If you're not in CA; dont have Cats. I live in San Diego; F***ing smog laws!!

Dont get an O/R H.......they make the Macs sound like complete **** IMO......the O/R X sounds good at wot and cruise but when your slowing down they pop/crackle alot and sound kind of ****ty. I would try the O/R prochamber...I think it would sound alot better then the O/R H (cleaner) but I have never heard this in person (Im still waiting too). Im in the same place you arewith my Macs[&:]

I have the o/r h and macs, and i think the sound is absolutely amazing, complete old school sound. Drone has never bothered me so i coudlnt even tell you how bad it is or at what rpm it comes at. I literally get compliments everyday about my exhaust, if you go with the or/h you will not be dissapointed. the or/h prochamber would probably be sick sounding too.

I've heard mac with o/r H and it does sound real muscular. The raspyness is unavoidable and isnt because its and H. Any time u remove the cats from the 3V it's gonna have rasp. The X sounds very racey though, the rasp was disgusting with my flows but the wot pulls sounds ridic!!!

I have the macs and have had all 3 set ups stock cats, o/r h then now i went to the o/r x.

The h sounds mean as hell and mad deep , so deep you feel it from so far away when the car is pulling up to you. deepest set up I have seen yet and I have seen them all,but after about 3 grand it dont scream any more and the drone was insaine even though it didnt bother me when I put my x in I was like holy **** no more drone and it is even louder out side of the car, maybe a tadmore mellowthen the H at idle. Now the x thats a diff story, absolutly amazing and yes there is popping and crackling but the car sounds like its a 700 hp monster even if your stock beside your x-pipe,lol

My 3 fav set ups are mine- mac o/r x-deepest +loudest

slp Lm with AR LT headers with catted x- loudest

mid muffler and o/r x- just sounds dam good
