Default Got my CAI and tune!!..nice...

I just got my c&l intake installed today with a brenspeed tune set up. I was pleasantly surprised. Not much differencebelow 3000 rpmbut a noticable increase in the above 3k range and some nice firm tire chirping shifts from 1-2 and a slight chirp from 2-3. overall a nice investment.I got the CAI and the sct2 off of a trade in car so all I have into the set-up is 100 for the cai and sct, plus the $125 to brenspeed for the tunes.. sweet deal for the money invested. for those of you that are on the fence about doing a cai, Doit. I'm not sure I would of spent the 5-600for my set-up new butknowing what I know now I would recommend it.

Worth every dollar and then some. If I'd known what a difference it was going to be, I would have gladly paid even $1200 for it.

you should have 3 tunes from brenspeed. try all of them and see how they are different, just make sure to always use higher octane than the tune calls for. (you can use an 89 tune with 91 in the tank, you don't want to go the other way.)

What tune are you running? I find my Brenspeed 93 tune seems to pulls harder in the higher RPM ranges (above 4,000)but the 89 tune pulls harder below 4,000.

Why? That doesn't seem right to me...

You don't need higher octane than the what the tune calls for. Perhaps he meant to be sure you have higher octane already in the tank if you're SWITCHING to a higher octane tune.

I got three tunes but I doubt I will run any of them other then the 93 octane one. Nice to know that they all react a little differently though. I'm guessing the lower octanes work better at lower rpm's because of less advance on the timing.
