computer locked out---Help

RE: computer locked out---Help
Brent more than likely has a way around it, but me being the impatient bastard I am, I'd just have it towed to the dealer, have them flash the old version of code back on it, load my tune, and start it up.

Brent just contacted me and told me what info I need to give him to get a new set of tunes. The cool thing is he'll make them for free. That's great b/c I had no idea that I had a strategy different than what the sticker on the computer said since I did not have any type of scanner (and my freaking dealer never mentioned..."oh btw, we updated your computer" [:@]).
I'm just glad mine didn't error out like the OP did. At least I was able to get my car back to stock so I could come to work today.

OK, so I am a little behind on the tech lingo regarding "strategy". I have an 06 GT with a Steeda Diablosport 93octCAI tune. I also need some work done on the car, (non computer related). I am going to replace stock tune / setup before I bring the car into the stealership. Should I be concerned - tell them not to update the computer. Does anyone know what the content of the "update" is and what it is good / bad for ?

I’m quite certain that the dealership is unable to flash backwards once they flash a newer program into your computer. I talked about this with a number of Ford technicians and two different service managers.
