Who has a K&N intake with a custom tune?
I used my K&N for around 28,000 miles. I bought it for a couple reasons.
Impulse & Option to run stock tune when at dealership
I can't give 1/4 mile or trap speeds, but have a few dyno results, and unfortunately I never did a baseline to compare
K&N intake, Stock Tune, MRT Catted H---------------281rwhp
Same setup with 91 tune from Detroit Speedworks----291rwhp
Same everthing with UPDs added, nice even----------300rwhp
Dyno numbers will vary from car to car. The K&N system, IMHO can be just as good as most other intakes, the majority of hp relies on the tuning. I probably would've kept mine but I went with a Airaid since I'm getting cams this month. Bigger MAFs are better, with certain power adder applications.
Either way, its a good product and you won't be disappointed.
