Default Lower ball joint

Has anyone pressed out a lower ball joint on one of these newer Mustangs yet? My right lower ball joint has some play at 50K miles(damned NJ potholes!) and I need to change it. I've done them in the past on the Chevelle through the years (I have the necessary press and impact tools), but I was wondering if there are any pitfalls, other than the usual alignment afterwords, with these newer control arms. Thanks.

I haven't changed mine yet but plan to soon. I do know the GAC guys found that the proper torque when you install them is VERY important.

Thanks. I noticed that the replacement ball jointcomes with a new bolt/nut for the steering knuckle clamp. NAPA stocks a replacement ball joint WITH a grease fitting for around 57 bucks. I'll probably wind up doing both sides at the same time, then take it in for an alignment.

Going with the NCP line from napa I assume. the MRC line is the junk line.

NCP 2601594
Ball Joint - Lower - Front Suspension 2 0.00 Retail 92.01 Cost 44.77

They only charge 57 for those? Thats a fair price. My napa doesnt stock em, not surprising.

The exact price is $57.49 for the NCP2601594.I'll probably swap them out next week sometime, then get new tires and an alignment. Time for new shoes, for sure.
