Dealer recall: after visit: P0171/174 and 1000
Went to visit the dealer past weekend. Took the tune off and installed factory tune again. They reprogrammed to fix the airbag issue and when they handed it over to me again, the check engine light was on. Following codes: P0171 P0174 and P1000. running too lean on bank 1 and 2 and then the OBD-II Monitor Testing Incomplete.
I put my c&l racer tune back and it was fine again. the tech told me it was because the it ran with the default program for a few.
It came back yesterday. I erased it again and it was fine. this morning the engine stalled twice before starting normal (around 800rpm's). I ran without check engine light.
This afternoon, I started and ... light was back. came straight to the dealer, put the factory tune back, they checked and everything was fine.
The tech told me the check engine light will go away after a while (10 or so cold starts)
is this correct? MAF is clean, all connections are checked and it runs fine until the check light pops up. Then I can (because I see the light probably) feel a difference.. it reacts slower and so..
Any advice? comment? I guess, I'm gonna give it a week to see if it resets like the dealer said...
Can this damage the engine in any way??
thx
btw: I'm gonna install a custom tune in a few
