Default Help cruise control dont work!

I have an 05 gt automatic witha few mods. I cant figure out what mod, if any, or why my cruise control quit working. I took it to ford for the recal (airbag reprogram)and the guy tried to find out what was wrong for a few minutes. We hook it to a computer and all the systems were ok. He said to bring it back another time specifically for the cruise control. Has any else had problems with it not working? what did you do. I was thinking about replacing the switches on the steering wheel, but i wanted to ask around before i waste my money. Does anyone have any mods that you know effects the cruise control?

Make sure traction control is on. Some cars wont let you use cruise control unless you have all the stability control systems enabled.

Do your brake lights work?

thanks for the ideas, but brake lights work, anit-lock brakes work, the switch on the foot pedal is good, fuses are good, trac control is on, button does nothing when any combination is pushed. I put the stock tune back on-no luck. i tried hooking up the CMCV motor. nothing. i was almost about to pull the steering wheel off to check the connection between the turning disk and the steering wheel. I am wandering if anyone else that has modded their car has noticed any issues?

Pressing the cruise on button used to light something up on the dash, but I guess my light as burned out. Anyway, mine works if I press on then set, but you'd think it wasn't working if you just pressed the on button.
