I got the Firestone firehawk wide ovals. They are an excellent tire for the money, and third best on tire rack followed only by tires costing twice as much money.

ball joints failed at 34,000 miles. by the time my dealer could get the parts it had 37,500. they still talked ford into covering the tires even though it was out of warrentee. i do not have a tuner that is why i was looking at that size. i live in florida so i can have summer tires all year.

ORIGINAL: Nuke

IF you are in the market for an all season tire, I recommend the Goodyear Eagle F1 all seasons. I'm very pleased with them and they have very good ratings and reviews on tirerack. Check the specs for info on sizes. And if you have a tuner you won't need to worry about differences in revs per mile compared to your stock tires.

For 17's my favorite tire was always the 245/45/17 Firestone Firehawk SZ50-EP. AMAZING lateral grip, and not too shabby in a straight line, either. It'll be a bit shorter than stock, so you'll definitely want to fix yer speedo and get lowering springs..

I would get 255/50/17's

Either the Kumho SPT's, or give the new Nitto Invo a try.
