Default My stang is sick!!!!

I was driving home from escalon made it to manteca took a corner a little fast but made it fine. Then I come to the next stop sign and the car starts idling rough. Then when I shift to second it dies. I pull over start it up and it dies again. I started it up again put my foot in it and it stayed running until I let off. Waited about 10 mins it started up and idled okay so I limped it to manteca ford. No check engine lights were on. He's going to run a diagnostic to see. It didn't even go to failsafe mode. Any Ideas? I have a powertrain warranty but god knows whatever it is isn't going to be covered. Thanks guys. I'm glad the site is back. Didn't know what I would do with out it. It's a 2005 Gt manual.[/align]

Sounds like the fuel pump. There's a TSB for it too.

if it runs with your foot in it, but dies at idle, it sounds like a MAF sensor. Hadda put one in my DD, cost me $200.

During the hard cornering, you might have sloshed all the gas away from the fuel pick up line in the tank especially if you had like 1/8 tank or less. Then the car started up fine once you got gas back into your fuel lines.

i find iif i play really hard in the corners with my car with less than an 1/8th of a tank of fuel the thing runs like **** for about an hour, so i usually just stop somewhere for a coffee than fill the car up and usually its fine. odds are it was air bubbles in the lines from the pump cavitating, it probably clear up after its sat for a little bit
