Quick Question: When you slam down the accerlerator and reach 3rd gear, does it spin your tires causing a squeak sound then proceed to squeak each time it changes gears until 5th? I was wondering if other tune users had the car do this too. It seems to shift harder too. Don't get my wrong, the power increase is incredible and I spent the whole day going 0-100 a lot, I'm just nervous something is wrong or will cause something to be wrong in the future.

 

Ive been meaning to call Brent about making my tune more aggressive in that regard. Nothing to worry about its just working more like it should.

just make sure it's the 91 tune or whatever appropriate tune you should be running because I loaded up the wrong tune (87 with 90 octane gas -on accident) and it would literally 'jump' about
a foot or so with every shift change,it was kinda cool but it would jerk the car so hard it was annoying.Right now with the right tune it accelerates perfect!

 

Mine won't screech the tires shifting into gears on my brens 92 tune, 20's.Shifts are a lot firmer, not as aggressive as some others out there,imo. If you want those tires eaten up, try doug's race tune.

 

Chriping 2nd and 3rd are common. Chirping 4th and 5th is unheard of. You're the
first to ever claim that. That's chirping 4th at around 100mph. That's a pretty
friggin crazy hard-*** shift you got there. And If you meant you "are" chirping
into 5th...then WOW! WOW...look....goosebumps.

 

+1, but Bama tunes do it too, all the way into 3rd... for me atleast. its normal. dont fear the shift, embrace it...

 

I've only been chirping 2nd.. never 3rd.. with the 91 octane tune (93 hasn't been availble here till recently).. could also be because of my tires though.. only 3,300 miles on them and I haven't really peeled out in them. (still factory tires)

 

As the last guy said it could be that I brand new tires. About 2,200 miles on all my tires and practically no peel outs. I got a tire warranty from ford for only 200 dollars and tire rotations every 3,000 so I'll just continue to do it and not worry about it. I seriously believes it chirps from 3rd to 4th to 5th. The first time I ever did it, it chirped on every gear shift. Also I believe I am running the right tune which is the Brenspeed 93.

 

O and I'll go try and figure out what gears chirp so I know exactly what I'm talking about

 

Running Brents 93 tune with 3.73's on stock tires and wheels (and a few other bolt ons)mine will chirp third on a very rare occasion.
