Axlebacks for Adults

Corsa AFAIK only makes one A/B for our cars. IMO they are the very best out there and I wouldn't trade mine for any other AB. They extremely quiet on cruise and scream at WOT. No other AB out there is like it. ON my last dyno run it was comical to see the heads turn and expression on the faces of thepeople in the parking lot waiting their dyno turn when we went WOT on the rollers.

The #14313 uses the Oval Body Touring Mufflers.
Come on gramps you should trade the stang in for a Buick if you want mellow
[sm=joke.gif]Just kidding....Magnaflow or the Flowmaster A/B's. I saw some guy with the flows on his....it though it was stock until he got on it a little and it had some sound to it (not too much more then stock). Its amazing how peoples outlook changes with age....Im an 18 year old college student and I have the Mac a/b's which are pretty loud for just mufflers.....but too quiete anymore. Soon I will add an o/r prochamber to them[sm=icon_rock.gif]

Get the Corsa sports, not the touring. After installing the corsa sports, the exhaust note is actually more quiet than stock with the windows up and at idle or low throttle. When you get on it, it sounds awesome. It is actually just barely louder than the engine with the windows up and sometimes I have to put my windows down to fully enjoy the sound. From the back of the car, they sound like pure sex and are pretty loud. I'm not sure how they make them so quiet inside the car, but so loud outside.
200 bucks for some jba axelbacks and i thought the were a better improvement over stock.. deeper idle little louder wot.. but then after 15 mins of that i put on my pypes o/r h and im in love!!!
+1 on the GTAs. I had Stingers before and switched to the GTAs and I'm very happy. I couldn't stand the drone of the Stingers and they always sounded like you were giving it more gas than you were. Like you were making all this noise but going nowhere. That seemed kinda lame. Love the GTAs though. No drone but they scream when you get on it.
Corsa's FTW!

Okay lets try a different track. Stock is fine at fast idle and full throttle just needs 'filling in' at lesser levels.
Here is my description of stock and what I would like to change.
Stock:
1. Sound Quality: Excellent
2. Idle: Sounds good at 1000+ rpm. To quiet after it warms up.
3. Light Acceleration: Cant hear hardly at all.
4. Cruise: Cant hear at all (A little better with 4.10)
5. Wide Open Throttle: Good
Aftermarket:
1. Sound Quality: at least as good as stock.
2. Idle: Low idle needs to be as loud at 740 rpm as stock at 1000+ rpm.
3. Light Acceleration: want to be able to hear the engine rumble.
4. Cruise: Want to hear the rumble without excessive resonance.
5. Wide open Throttle: A little louder would be okay but not a lot.
Am I asking for the impossible? How close does the Shelby GT (Superior)come to this?
Ive got a feeling an Off-Road H-Pipe + a couple of Bullet Race Mufflers for resonators + Stock Mufflers may be the only way to get their. Axle Backs would be simpler though.

Flows sound nice. The only real complaint I hear-besides they arent as good as flows on previous stangs-is that theyre not that much louder than stock. They are a little louder than stock but add a nice rumble and a great idle. At WOT they do sound really good. I get alot of complements

What I like is that I can keep them as quiet as I want while cruising, or raise the volume, all with throttle control......
