I don't think you can go wrong with most of the choices out there for the S197. Saleen, Whipple, Kenne Bell, Vortech, Paxton...they're all good. That being said, Whipple and Saleen seem to have the biggest following on this forum, FWIW.

It is all personal preference.

#1 thing to do is buy a kit from a reputable manufacturer (ie one you have heard of) and order it from a reputable dealer (Brenspeed, Lethal, Ford Dealer etc).

Any form of FI is great. You will wonder how you ever drove without it.

In a perfect world I would have a Whipple'd GT for a DD, A tweaked procharged stang for some weekend beating, and a TT Drag car for fun.

In the real world I will just do my best to support all three, with 1 whippled gt.

I would be happy with nearly any supercharger available. I suppose it mainly depends on what type you want....twin screw, centrifugal, roots....etc....

My personal favorite is the Whipple. I really think they make a very good sc that you can trust with very favorable results.

My favorite centrifugal? Paxton Novi

+1 on just about everything here. Unless you're planning on opening up the engine and doing internals, damn near any type of FI will put a big smile on your face and a big stain in your pants.
