Default RE: CAI question

ORIGINAL: Joe06

I just installed the C & L street CAI with the no tune insert on my 06 GT auto this weekend. There is a definate seat of the pants difference in acceleration. I feel the 15 - 18 HP increase is legit. The exhaust note also changed significantly for the better. I have the FRPP GTA's.
The seat-of-the-pants your feeling is maybe 5 RWHP gain. If you got a tune with that you'd have pooped your drawers for roughly 20 RWHP gain, better throttle response, yada yada...

tune makes the car so much better

CAI you can notice and enjoy but without the tune you don't know what you're missing out on

it doesnt void the warranty... dealerships will try to tell you it does. but really, what can go wrong with a harmless little filter at the end of an inlet elbow?

if you are really worried, go with an FRPP intake and tune...
