Default Hard vacuum line for boost gague??

Yesterday my boost gauge stopped reading properly.. At idle, it was only showing like 2 or 3 inches of vacuum, and at WOT it was only showing 3 or 4 PSI of boost..

Today I disconnected the hard plastic vacuum line from where it's T'd in, and I sucked/blew in the line then plugged it with my tongue, and sure enough, it would read well outside the numbers above, but it always bled back off to zero after a couple seconds. So, I think that line has a leak in it.

Here's the thing - some of you may know where my gauge is located (in the dash, in the left center blower vent). In order to get it in there, Brenspeed had to remove the ENTIRE dash, including the passenger-side air bag. I don't want to have to do that, so I just kind of pried it out of the dash. Now, how do I get a new vacuum line through? I'm thinking just tape the new one to the tail of the old one and pull? Would that work? But, even more importantly, where can I get new vacuum line like that? The local parts store only sells that normal rubber crap..

Thanks guys!!

Braided vacuum line? How exactly would that work? Have you used it before? How difficult is it to swap the fittings and get it all correct?
