Would a custom tune void the warranty? Questions on tuning as well.
I realize my GT needs a big more throttle response and pick up so I decided to look into an SCT X3 tune. I am a bit of a noob though when it comes to all this stuff as I am only use to really working on sportbikes and I will admit..I don't really know **** about cars.
right now I am looking at purchasing this: http://www.americanmuscle.com/2005gt...xcal2-kit.html
I will have the intake professionally installed while I will give the computer tuning a go on my own.
My question is: Is is difficult to do? Or is it just plugging it into the computer and scrolling through some selections?

You can do it as long as you follow the instructions from the person you buy the tune from. I would get the tuner and the tune from either B'ama or Brenspeed. They will customize the tune to the mods in your car. The tune will only void the warranty if the tune causes problems. All other warranteed parts will still be in effect.

But the dealerships usually wont work on your car unless the stock tune is in the computer. You'll see the option of returning to stock in the directions, the SCTs are really simple to use.
