Default 4.6 to 5.4???

Just out of curiosity...it is possible to take the 5.4L out of the GT500 and put it into my 05 Mustang GT?? seems like i have heard of this being done but i can't find any information on it. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!!!

crazy expensive considering the engine is like $15 grand or more cant rememebr exactly what plstang told me(He got his out of a wrecked gt500 so got it cheaper)I asked the exact same question, there was alot more to it then just the engine swap, tranny, clutch. I dont recall all he told me but by the time I was done reading all the stuff my mind was changed completly or saying hrmm maybe I should just buy a gt500........

I rather build up a 5.4 aluminum block 4V heads than buying a GT500 crate engine.

or you could spend the money on a stroker kit and supercharger to be able to have higher boost for more power and it will still be lighter

That's the motor in the Ford GT, it'll be even more expensive.
