Stingers.. two models?
I was in the private library doing some reading and I noticed that Mustangs Unlimited lists two seperate part numbers for the FRPP 5GT axleback (The ones made by Borla and labeles as Stingers when they sell them). The first had no note on them, and listed the 5GT part number. The second listed as 50 state legal and the end part number was 5GTQ. I am guessing that these others are just for Cali and are quieter?

I understand they are the same, both made by Borla... but Mustangs Unlimited lists two seperate part numbers for the FRPP version (and only the FRPP, not Borla)... a 5GT and a 5GTQ that it says is 50 state legal.

I have the GT's (Stingers). There also is a GTA which is quieter than the GT's but not as quiet as stock. They are both pictures above in Cutterwolf's post above; GT's on the left and GTA's on the right.

No... I'll hafta see if I can't scan the page in when I get home. I am not talking about the GTA's, which I run on my car. I also don't think it's the Borla GT's, because the ones in the catalog look identical to the 5GT/stingers and the GT's do not... It strikes me that Ford would have to have a cali-legal alternative for those who want the stingers, but hafta pass the sound ****'s in cali...
