Guys,

Do other peoples 05 V8's click every 30 seconds or so.

At first i though it was the air con pump but it does it with air / on or off.

Maybe its fuel pump or maybe its completely normal!

Does anyone elses do it?

I haven't noticed a clicking on mine. Where does it sound like it coming from... the engine compartment?

 

Yep.. sounds like it.. almost like the clutch on the Air pump..

only done 700 miles in her so far and the air con works okay (not really needed here though)

 

Does it only happen when your A/C is on?

I recall reading somewhere else that the A/C does click on and off a lot and is VERY LOUD!

 

A/C cycling clicks about every 15-20 seconds. Same happens on some Ford trucks, as I recall, so this is "normal".

I occasionally get clicking ever 30 seconds when A/C is *not* on. I've been trying to chase this one down, but it's infrequent hard to pinpoint so far.

 

Yes thats it! every 15-20 seconds (i counted some a 6 earlier)..

I'm sure the AC pump is constantly running in all new US cars/trucks when set to cold (like climat control) as i'm sensative to air con (cant stand it!)

 

I think it is the Camera that "Big Brother" had installed.

Whe you speed and run through an intersection it send your photo to the wifi point mounted on top of the stoplight so the cops have a picture of you grinnin as your doing 120mph through the intersection.
