I see there is a lot of debate on X and H pipe...
I am getting ready to put a full exhaust on my 03 mustang GT, I am planing on going with the x pipe. What is your all opinions on what headers and muffler to go with...
I want it to sound intimidating but not TOO loud...

Do you live in a state where emissions testing is going to be a factor? If so, are you willing to exchange your exhaust out every year when you get an inspection? That is probably going to be a deciding factor in what answer will best suit your wants.

Emissions testing is a factor and no I don't want to have to change it out every year...

Depends on the state. In California, the smog ****'s have relented somewhat for new cars, we now don't have to get our new vehicles smogged for 7 years unless we transfer ownership, even then it's not required unless it's 5 years old. Starting at 7 years old, we have to get it checked every other year.

My hubby is Military so we aren't really sure where we could end up... and I really don't want to have to worry about changing my exhaust out. Plus starting next year the area where we live is starting to do emissions testing.

The last car I had was when I was in California and I had full exhaust and didn't have any problems passing emissions, just got pulled over a lot for it being too loud.
