Saleen Series VI Installed!! Great story, MUST READ!!
About a month ago I was roaming through ebay when I came accross a used Brenspeed Stage 2 kit. It was the Saleen 475 kit they had on one of their research vehicles, which they were now selling and were offering up the supercharger kit at a good price. I've seen some of the take off kits that folks have listed on ebay, and quite frankly, I always told myself I wouldn't test my luck on a kit that could possibly be missing who knows what, or worse. BUT, everyone on these forums is familiar with Brenspeed, and their reputation and customer service are essentially unmatched. So I figured, if I can trust anyone with a take off kit, it's Brent White and crew. So I pull the trigger and get the kit. As I hit the "buy now" button I have to admit I was a little apprehensive, but two days later my worries were gone.
I received a call from Seth, first asking for some information about my car to complete the custom tune. He then proceeded to tell me that the shop was having some trouble taking off some of the components from the kit, so in an effort to get me the kit within a week as he promised, they decided to give me brand new components instead of what was on the car. So I ended up receiving brand new, among other things: belts, hoses, pulleys, intercooler pump and lines, heat exchanger, basically anything that moved or had some form of fluid flow through it, plus the brand new SCT X3. The only really used items I ended up getting was the head unit w/pulley, 39# injectors, and the Steeda CAI, and the Extreme inlet tube. Pretty good deal I think. It's safe to say I'd do business or recommend business with that team anytime, I hope many of you will as well.
Now I live in El Paso, TX which means I'm a little too far for a Brenspeed installation, but the good news is that we have our own Mustang professional out here, Brian Metzger @Texas Hot Rods. He did the install, and while it wasn't included in the install charge, he went ahead and put the car on the dyno to check and make sure everything was working in good order. All was well, and the numbers are in the signature. It's conservative no doubt, but I put 50 miles on the car each day, so I drive however I want knowing that my engine is in no danger of failure whatsoever. Oh yeah, and the car is a blast to drive. Throttle response is nuts.
All in all, a good deal that ended up being great. Many thanks to Brenspeed and Texas Hot Rods for being awesome professionals. I'll have pics up soon, and I took a video of the dyno pull, so if I can figure out how to post it, I'll do so as well.
Til next time, take care

What size pulley did they include??? I'm running a 3.6 @ 430rwhp and my buddy Tom281 is running a 3.2 @ 450rwhp. I live about 1 hr northwest of Brenspeed and Tom lives about 1 hr south. Also I think Tom just upgraded his clutch and cams.
So Grats on the Saleen install and someday you'll have to visit Brenspeed in person.

It's a 3.6 as well. The tune is very conservative though, which like I said, I'm okay with since I need to wait a while before I can do some supporting upgrades like fuel system and such.
