Drilling sound when accelerating??

I think what you are hearing is gear whine. My old 06 GT did it with the stock gears... my new one does it too. When I had 3.73's put on the old one, the sound changed but was still there.

It does kind of sound like a supercharger...

that would make sense and to be honest i like the sound it adds to the whole " Yeah there is a powerhouse under this hood" type feel =) so as long as my car is happy and running clean im fine with the sound =)

Did you say that you have an automatic? My '06 automatic makes the same "dentist drill" sound under acceleration. It's a normal tranny sound to me.
