Does a Cold Air Intake really work??
ok dont actually do this....and even if you do try this you might throw a code right away and it might take a while (several miles). You car might not go into failsafe either.
Bottom line though is it does get you more air that is maybe slightly cooler than the stock setup and it is well worth it when you add a tune.

All of the CAI's are equivalent in performance. Brenspeed, Bama and VMP are 3 of the most popular vendors out there that write excellent tunes, Go to their websites for info on the combos. They'll also answer any of your questions. Great customer support. Pick one that looks good to you and works for your wallet.
Some claim they get better fuel mileage, MAYBE 1-2 MPG but I believe the majority report no LESS fuel economy to go with the much improved performance.

I can't argue with hard facts. But...
By generating more horsepower with no additional fuel used, you'd think the MPG would be better. For any given speed, it is easier for the engine to supply the power to get there.
But again...can't argue with somebody who is seeing results, or lack of, themselves.

I would never call a proper CAI/ tune useless but I do question the need if you're not a racer. Spending $600 for more power that won't be giving you any income... or will be costing you more when you get that speeding ticket... hmmm...
I'd rather have my stock power and the $600 bucks! Especially since I didn't qualify to get a stimulus check!
