ya cannot get more redneck than this i think. I got my actual camera mount that is designed to attach to a roll bar. Well i don't have a roll bar so i thought of the next best thing, Since I had these parts from sat stuff lying around i said lets go for it. I didn't want to drill a hole for mounting so they are all bolted to factory seat bolts locations. what ya all think. should i be embarrassed.

oh and it is solid as hell so any vibration the car produces the camera will see it...the camcorder does have some stabilization so we shall see.

Dude, they make a headrest mount for like 30-40 bucks

Seems like a lot of effort but I praise your DIY mentality. I bought the CruiseCam headrest mount, its about $50. Works like a charm.
