The stock exhaust on the S197's flows very well for OE. You'll get virtually no power gains by replacing the stock mufflers on an S197. Don't know about the '02's.

The increase in performance on the new edges is from replacing the whole catback with one with 2.5" pipes as opposed to the stock 2.25" pipes. See what FRPP offers. I know they offer a "mellow tone" muffler, check and see if they sell those as part of a 2.5" catback.
