Im thinking of purchasing a JLT cai + SCT X3 tuner in the next week. But how hard are the tuners to install??? How hard are they to tune??? I dont even know where to start w/ em.

If someone could help I would appreciate it

It is very easy. You just plug it into the OBD port on the car and follow directions.

I am not mechanical or computer literate and I did it. Just make sure the place you buy it from has the tune for the intake you're buying already in the programmer. I got my intake installed and went to download the tune from the programmer and it didn't have a tune in it for that intake. Long story short; the car was in the garage for almost 2 weeks before I was emailed the correct tune. And make sure you read all the directions before doing anything.

Brenspeed.com has some how-to videos. It's very simple. Replacing the stock intake with the CAI requires simple tools and about an hour. The tune is plug-n'-play and takes about 2 minutes to load. All you do is plug it in (under the steering column), chose one of the 3 tunes you purchased with the combo and follow the on-screen prompts. You don't do any tuning. It's all part of the supplied program (tune).

time to install the CAI - 30 mins, tops!
time to upload the tune - 2 minutes, tops!

difficulty factor (1-10) - easy 1 - 2 if you dont work on cars.

They are about as easy to install as car keys.

Yes that was a serious analogy. You did say tuner right?
