Default Disconnect battery??

I'm planning to replace the stock battery on my 05 GT & put in an Optima. I have a SCT X2 tune already installed, when I replace the battery will I lose the tune & have to reflash? Thanks

The tune is stored in non-volatile memory. It will be there even if there's no power going to the chip. It's like the memory in USB flash drives everyone uses now or memory cards in cameras. You can take them out of the device and the data is still there.

What I'm not sure of is this memory in the car's computer flash or EEPROM. It takes forever to erase the loaded tune and program in a new one so that makes me think it's EEPROM. Not that this matter though.
