Need some help wiring in a boost sensor
#21
I am spoiled with a digital multimeter. From what I can remember, try setting the dial to 10 on the DC side. Now try taking a reading. There should be a scale from 0 to 10 on the display. You want the needle pointing somewhere around 1.7 on the display.

Ugh ok so I'm back with this. So I have found that it transmits that signal...until the firewire cable gets plugged into the Livewire. Then it no longer transmits. WTF?? Allow me to explain...
So I probed with a multimeter the firewire connector that would plug into the livewire and got that 1.7v reading that it is supposed to transmit at no boost. So I know it's not the firewire cable that is faulty. Also probed a naked spot of the 0-5v wire in the firewire cable where it was spliced to the PLX harness. got the 1.7 v there too.
Then, I plugged it into the Livewire. Probed the naked spot of the 0-5v wire and got nothing. Seriously, this is pissing me off lol. What does that mean? The firewire port on the livewire has a short? Any help is appreciated.
