Deep and throaty - no raspy or ricey sound
loud is fine inside and out
Added performance is a plus

What I don't want is a loss of mpg.

I plan to do a CAI later as well to help even more.

I put Super 40's on my g/f 04 Gt and it sounds ok and she likes it, but it isn't enough for me. What do you folks recommend?

I just finished putting bbk longtube headers on my car, removed my cats and went h-pip. new muff and tips. I have some quick advise for you.
DONT CHEAP OUT ON PARTS!@!!!!!. I bought boost brothers first and they dont fit. bbk went in perfectly. as for the sound my mustang makes right now... God's Farting out my exhaust. sounds like the original bullet mustang(movie bullet, with steve maquine).

I only have 2 o2 senceors in and I have a check engine light no. doesn't bother mer. anyways I digress. my fuel econamy went from 8.7 ltrs to 100km, to 9.2/100km

as soon as I put some o2 sencors back in I know my econamy will get better.

got it dyno'd I got an extra 25hp / 45 torque

hope that helped

You are looking at getting Boomtubes or Loudmouths.
Boomtubes a bit cleaner sounding and Loudmouths more classic muscle sound.
Magnapacks will NOT get you a classic sound, trust me I had them and took them off a week later.

Some inspection places will not even inspect you with Boomtubes or Loudmouths in Texas because there is a law saying you MUST have mufflers to pass inspection.
However... many places look over that rule. MANY, and you should have no real problem finding a place to inspect you.

Headers and removal of the cats will get you in trouble pretty darn fast though in Texas.
What if you have hollowed out cats? is there a way for the inspection guys to know if they're hollowed out or can you pass by just the looks of them being there
