Winter Storage

RE: Winter Storage
I never "store" car. I only store my jet skis because there is not other choice. Just cover it up, and be sure to get it out of the garage once or twice a month on a sunny day. Take it for a short drive to get the oil and fuel moving, and to keep the tires from sitting. This should ward off any storage problems.
But if you are going to "store" it, then follow the advice above - foam under tires or raise it off the floor, fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery and put a slow charge on it once a month for a day (I don't like trickle chargers personally) and change the oil before storing.

Sure ... rub it in. I ordered my car last May, did not get it until Dec 28th. I could not drive it until March April, had to wait for the snow to go away.

I use to live where it snowed and would get freezing cold. Use to!!!

Winter in SoCal = snow ski in the morning, surf in the afternoon, BBQ/bonfire in the desert for dinner. All within 2 hours drive.
I have lived in San Diego since 1991, and have only felt 3 or 4 small quakes. One of them was a couple weeks ago. I guess we all have to deal with mother nature... whether it's quakes, tornados, hurricanes, blizzards, floods, wildfires, whatever...

as if the weather werent bad enough, you also have to worry about salt rotting out your car, sand getting embeeded in the carpeting, scratches from the salt spreader projectiles, other drivers slidin into you, cracked wipers from the the freezing cold ....
I decided not to get rid of my current car and keep it as a winter driver. My stang is taying in the garage unless it's dry out and the roads are clean.
