The reason is the block! Now, I have not run into any bearing diff. in the 05 up alum blocks. The 96-04 iron ...Windsor and Romero blocks run diff. bearings.......mainly the main thrust bearings.

Ford had/s two styles - one uses a upper and lower 1 pc. flanged thrust bearings, the other has one 1pc. flange and the other side uses a "horse shoe" thrust plate.......





As long as we know what block and year, we can provide right bearings....99.7% of the time

OK, I got the block from Ford Racing Parts. Its part number is M-6010-A46NA. This is a 4.6l aluminum block machined for 3 valve heads. The stock block for 2005+ Mustang GTs. Which style of thrust bearing does it use?

i would much rather follow someone else's
guide, then to have to write my own....
