Default Brake Issues/Question

Hello everybody,

My right rear rotor is being gouged by something (brake pad?) and I'm currently waiting for new rotors and pads in the mail (excuse to upgrade, whoo!).

Am I OK removing the pad from just the right rear brake assembly in order to stop the (quite noisy) destruction of the rotor?

I would say no. It will still push the pistons out during the brake application. the piston would then be pushing against the rotor.

NO! If you remove the pads the caliper piston will come out of the bore, you'll lose all your fluid and most likely crash because you'll have no brakes.

NO.
Dont drive it if you must use the brakes.
The rotor is probably beyond resurfacing....
Brembo sells mean replacement OEM style
rotors that are nicely priced.
