Default RE: JBA Axle backs problems

Well I had my JBA's on for about a week now and they have bad vibration when cool. I've checked all the connections...no leaks, nothings rubbing or smacking into anything. The funny thing is when she 's all warmed up it no vibration or funny noises....so that leaves out a bad baffle otherwize it would vibrate or resenate all the time. I'm very fustrated hell it took the tech a whole 50 min just to align the tips....I guess I'll have my stockers put back on....Any one else have problems like this??? Hell I'm new to this maybe this is normal for perfromance mufflers with a deep tone, would cause extra vibrations in the cab...I just hope I'm not opening a hornets nest taking off and putting on mufflers over and over again...it a new car...... also would I have to reset the computer???

Your axle backs don't have sending units that send any signals like the cats do. Changing a pair of axle backs is pretty easy, just a takes a little time is all.I bought some metric speed wrenches to make things go a little quicker.

Something in the exhaust system is in a
bind from when he 'aligned' the tips.
The JBAs are not known for their fitment.

you were right...the passender side pipe was hitting the spare tire carrier. Too move the pipe for clearence the tips would not align for crap. I gave up and had my original bullitt mufflers installed.....I guess I'll be selling these mufflers oh well it was worth a try but a total nightmare from exhaust hell....Now does anybody know if I have to reset the computer??? Or am I good to go?????

You will not need to do anything to the computer because it is only an Axle Back system.
