Default Got Dyno Tuned Today

Well I finally got tuned today. I put down 262 WHP and 266 WTQ. They did 4 pulls. The first time the car was running so rich that it cut out. It was 19% too rich. The air to fuel was perfect and the timing was as well when they finished. Stock, the autos put down about 240 hp and 250 tq, at least that is what I was told. Ed Clark, who tuned my car is very knowledgable, is the one that told me that. The car pulls alot better and it chirps 2nd gear. I am very pleased with it and it is definitely faster. With the out of the box tune I had, I put down 250 WHP and 259 WTQ.

Just out of curiosity, what does it cost to get a dyno tune? Also, does anybody know a good shop in the Indianapolis area that will do this?

I didn't have a dyno tune done, but I did have a dyno pull done with the C&L CAI/Predator tune on the car. According to today's pull, I only gained about 13 rwhp with the CAI/Predator, but the torque went up by a whopping 45 ft/lbs. So, the seat-of-the-pants performance I feel with the CAI/Pred setup seems to be torque related rather than horsepower.

Here are the before/after numbers:

STOCK:

257 rwhp @ 5690 rpm
274 ft/lb tq @ 4246 rpm
Temp was 60F. A/F ratio stayed between 11.4 - 11.8 from 4000-5700rpm.

C&L CAI/Predator:

270 rwhp @ 5634 rpm
319 ft/lb tq @ 3894 rpm
Temp was 64F. A/F ratio stayed between 12.4 - 12.9 from 4100-5900rpm.

I think the $200 assumes you already have an XCAL or a Predator... right?

That price was with me having a tuner already. I got the tune done at Street Motorsports in Chesapeake. The temp. when mine was dynoed was about 100 degrees.
