Brake upgrade with Baer Brakes
I am looking at upgrading my brakes and was looking for some advise. I have seen the GT BAER Cross Drilled & Slotted Rotors 4pc Set for only 300.00 dollars, which seems to be a steal.
Any feedback on the quality??
I was going to add the J&M Stainless Steel Teflon Lined Brake Hose Kits in addition.
What else should I do or add for a lower price upgarde??
This is a cruizer, I am not racing or going to the drag strip.

SS lines, Hawk HPS pads, and DOT 4 brake fluid....keep the stock rotors if you like and you have much better stopping power...even over the 14 inch big brake rotors (not kits with 6 or 8 piston calipers)

Thats one of the reasons I'm looking at the DecelaRotors is for appearance. How are they holding up DLZ?
I've read where some of the Hawk Pads can tear up the Rotors. Don't want to go to all the expense and them 6 months later have them look like crap.

Hawk makes 2 types of pads....the ones above and the ones I recommended are for the street and wont destroy the rotors in 6 months esp with a DD thats not raced.

Oh, FWIW, since you're looking at the DecelaRotors for primarily cosmetics you should know that you can paint the hub areas. (Just to be extra-safe I called the guys from BAER and asked.) I painted my calipers black when I did my brakes and had some paint left over so I threw a few coats on the hubs of the DecelaRotors and it really perked them-up.

I haven't any personal experience with Power Slots but I'd read a few reviews around the forums where people panned them pretty badly. Complaints of cracking and such.
The SS lines help deal with volumetric expansion within your lines. Basically they cut the spongy feeling in your pedal.
