Default Diablo Predator and steeda CAI

06' GT. I purchased a Diablo Predator and a steeda CAI, Local purchase, not from a site. Applied the 87 octane tune for now cause thats whats in the tank. All went well, a little boost in performance. With the Steeda CAI, do I have to get someone to write a custom tune? Only options I see are Performance Tune, Octane tunes and the modify tune feature. Nothing specifically for the CAI. Still learning about this performance stuff so please bear with me guys. Any pointers will help.

Who did you get the tunes from? When you get tunes, they need to be for your PCM, whatever CAI you have (due to MAF size differences) plus any other mods that you have. If nobody ever asked you that then you have canned tunes that are not the best perfromance wise. Dump those tunes and get some from Brenspeed or Bama. You'll notice even more improvement in performance.

Brenspeed only does SCT I think , It would have to be Bama Chips for the Diablo Predator

Ok, well I put the factory tune back on. I think the Diablo needs to be updated anyway with new firmware. How much do tunes usually cost? Any links for instructions on how the process works?

Go to the brenspeed website. There are tutorials and other good info there.

There's a sticky here https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...ing-tunes.html that discusses how you load a tune from a PC to an SCT XCAL. I don't know how well that applies to the Diablo.
