Default Scarce stock h-pipe in SoCal?

Do you guys recycle your stock h-pipes when you swap in an aftermarket h-pipe? Cuz I've been looking for a low-mile 05-09 stock h-pipe ever since mine was stolen out of my garage almost three years ago. Cross-country shipping on such an ungainly part is a killer and no overabundance of extra mustang take-offs exist in my small AZ town. Junk yards seem to automatically recycle them or at least they don't list them in online search databases.

Dude, are you in Arizona or SoCal? I'm in SoCal and looking for a GT take off muffler myself. Shipping these things is really expensive so I'm looking locally also. You keep an eye out for a muffler for me and I'll look for a H pipe for you. I'm just gonna replace my stock V6 muffler so I really don't need both sides or an H pipe.

I'm in AZ chronos, but I rent a car out to SoCal a fair amount. Seems to be a 'mod happy' place but I guess periodic smog testing keeps those unmounted stock h-pipes on a short leash. So you are keeping your single exhaust but you want a single GT muffler? newtakeoff.com has the dual GT's for $80, too bad you can't hook up with another SoCal 4.0 Stang and split purchase and shipping. I'm gonna go to a couple of local salvage places and check on stuff. If I see a GT muffler for under $40 I'll let you know. May be able to work out a pick-up and drop-off on one of my trips to Cali.

Sounds like a plan, keep me posted. I know salvage yards around my area just have junky old cars from the 70's, nothing newer.

I have my Stock H pipe and my stock GT mufflers both have 31,000 miles on them and have been sitting in my garage since I took them off about 6 months ago. I am located in Lancaster CA, if interested send me a PM.
