Bobby/Steve, What do you think of this kit? http://www.turbohorsepower.com/3vgtprice.html or anyone else who has knowledge of it. Also when getting a kit, what upgrades are really needed verus just nice to have? Thank you to everyone who answered here.

I also believe that its all in the tune. I think the problem people have with turbos is there isnt a lot of good tuners who can work on turbos.

Jim Napier at TH makes very good kits and you would be happy with what he can do for you. Jim will build the kit with any extras you want or you can upgrade other features at a later date. Th has great customer service and I don't think you could go wrong with them. I would recommend getting a custom with Jim's kit as I don't think it has been developed as well as the tune in Mike's PowerHouse kit.

One more thing I am an old man with turbo's!!!

I've gone back and forth between the two and under 500-600whp the turbo is just lacking compared to the supercharger. turbo you end up with very little gains below 3500rpm compared to the supercharger. that's not a big deal when you're racing, but it's a big deal for DD. having the blower and not having to rev the motor out just to accelerate is nice. with the turbo you always have to get the revs up before you start to get into boost, by then the supercharged guy is already up to speed.

now go big boost like bobby1110 and I don't think you'll really care about the little bit of low end you're missing but until you've built your motor that's not an option.

for me I'm going with the supercharger. once I build the motor I'll still be able to get 700whp and that's fine with me

Yours isn't a street car! Only reason not to get a twin screw for a daily driver is cost.

I almost got a Vortech because of cost, but I'm glad I didn't. Anything using the motors oil for lubrication is not going on my car.

I have to say I enjoyed my turbo on the street much more than my KB.
