Anyone notice Saleen now has a series VI.5 supercharger? I was told from support at Saleen the VI is being discontinued and the VI.5 is listed on their website, but I believe it is a picture of the previous VI. The guy told me it was a 3 piece design instead of 2.
The series VI has a main case and lid, the series VI.5 has the down rails as seperate casting, so the rails can be changed easily for different applications.
The series VI.5 also has the water crossover with the thermostat integrated into the crossover, where the VI had it external like 05 - 06 mustangs.
It seems there may also be a different hat or lid for the new series VI.5.

What do you guys think? I got this info straight from a saleen aftermarket parts rep, I talked with jdm about the new changes, and Brenspeed. For some reason, both jdm and brenspeed seemed to like the series VI design. Something about the 2 piece construction being most likely better and solid. Idk, maybe they are just trying to clear inventory of all the VI's before selling the new VI.5's?
Also, I haven't been able to find a pic of the possible new lid for the VI.5. I'm guessing it may just be an option for a painted cover like a few aftermarket companies offer for an additional fee?

I just had a thread a while back and am looking at adding the Saleen sc kit soon.

I'd be happy with anyone at this point. I'd like to see the new product though before buying the 6. I was also wondering about the changed water crossover aspect of it?

Go with the SMS 296 from their Superparts catalog. Think of it as the Saleen Series VII.
