Default Delete Plates and Custom Tune

two nights ago i installed my steeda delte plates from brenspeed the non economy ones. the install went smooth and only took me 2 and a half hours only needing my dads help to lift the intake manifold off and place it back down. i uploaded my bamachips 93 performance tune and took it out for a lil test drive. when i first got on it i knew right away something wasnt right my speedo was way off so i pulled over plugged in the sct and looked at the options on the tune. i had told american muscle that i had 4.10 gears and was told the tune was indeed set up for it when i called to talk about my tune. the tune was actually set up for stock axel ratio so i just quickly ajusted it to 4.10 and the car was driving fine. now for the real test... a buddy of mine has a stoc m3 who i did a pull with before the install and after. i beat him by 3 car lengths before the install of the plenum spacers and tune. so i figured id beet him by 4 car lengths or so well it ended up being dead even till about 120? im not too happy with this! at all!!! i just placed an order for the 93 race tune and im hopping this will make my car faster then before i did the install. if my car is still slower i will be trying a brenspeed tune in hopes that my car gets the power it should with delete plates and a custom tune

Was the the tune you loaded written specifically for deletes? If not, you need to get a tune that includes the deletes or it won't run right.

i told bamachips everything done to the car so it was not specifically written for just the delete plates but they were included in the tune. it was for long tube headers, high flow catted x, cat back, 4.10s, delete plates, udp, aluminum driveshaft, and cai

That's too bad, man I hope Brenspeed can tune better for them as I am getting them installed with my Detroit Rockers in May. Brenspeed told me that they can tune them along with the cam to work without loss.
