Could be the gas stations your going to, I know here in New Jersey a couple of gas stations (normally the no names) where caught for not having the correct octane gas as they where advertising. I have no problem with my 93 race tune from BAMA.

i got my tune from brenspeed last week, and holy sh*t did it bring the car to life. it was fun to drive before but now it is a blast. i went with the 89 octane tune because i had heard it was a good "street" tune. also i figured if i eventually want to then i can step up to a 93 tune later. the thing i love the most is the throttle response. after i put my jlt cai and the brenspeed tune on i went to back out of the garage and left some black marks. was not expecting the response to be so crisp.

i ordered a BBR tune and JLT intake should be here today or tomorrow. cant wait to see the difference it makes. will order a tune from brenspeed in the future to compare.

That's certainly possible. I just happen to get a little pinging no matter where I get gas with my 93 tune. So I can only assume it's a combination of a very aggressive tune plus slightly low quality gas. Wish it wasn't tuned to the ragged edge. I love my 87 and 91 tune.

I like it a lot. I may not be the best reviewer because i havent tried brenspeeds tunes or anything. BUT i can say there is a DEFINITE difference in throttle response. Overall the intake and tune package was worthwhile for sure.

as far as how BBR's tune compares to others i cant say. In order to really judge and compare ill need to get a brenspeed tune and then go to the track and run each of them.

I can say BBR gave great customer service and i have no issues.

I also like how i can take the car to around 6500 now. But thats common with all tunes.

I have had plenty of time now to drive with my new BBR tune and JLT intake. i have noticed my 0-60 time seems MUCH improved. id say a good .2 to .3 quicker. definitely worth the entire 550 i spent lol. if i had better tires and could launch harder i could improve it even more. right now launching at 2500 will cause me to just do a burnout lol.

another postive is gas mileage seems to be up by maybe 1-2 a gallon. ive been averaging 23.2 combined city and highway to and from work. and thats including the occasional hard accelration.

just posting for anyone interested. i was very skeptical and pretty hard to impress but i consider it money well spent.
