Default Labor cost for "separator plate fix"?

Well this stupid rattle has been bugging me for a while. Took it into the dealership before my warranty was up and they wouldn't do anything; they claimed they couldn't hear it....

Well now I'm over warranty, just installed the MGW shifter, and for whatever reason, now I can REALLY hear the rattle at 2500 RPMs, and I'm just wondering how much it's going to cost me to have someone pull the tranny and cut a section out of this separator plate. I've tried the washer fix and it doesn't seem to do anything. This rattle happens hot or cold. The sound is a little less noticeable with the clutch pedal pressed. I'm hoping it's just the separator plate....

Anyway, how much do you figure this will cost me to fix out of warranty?

Thanks.

Default

figure they'll charge you anywhere from 4 - 6 hours labor. at $75 an hour, $300 - $500.

call around to some local shops and ask them what they charge for a tranny r&r.
